Rules of Practice Amendments 2017

  • Following public notice and comment pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2071(b), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has amended the Federal Circuit Rules of Practice 47.4 and 47.5.  The new versions of Federal Circuit Rules 47.4 and 47.5, as well as a revised Form 9 (Certificate of Interest), are available on the court’s website and in the Clerk’s Office.

    These new disclosure requirements apply to all documents filed on or after October 2, 2017.  On October 2, 2017, a revised version of the Federal Circuit Rules of Practice and Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure, as well as Form 9, will be on the court’s website (http://www.cafc.uscourts.gov).

  • The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit proposes to amend its Local Rules.  These amendments are subject to public notice and comment under 28 U.S.C. § 2071(b).  The proposed amendments would modify the related-case disclosure requirements in Federal Circuit Rules 47.4 and 47.5.  The proposed revisions are available on the court’s website.
