Before being able to file a document electronically with the Federal Circuit, users must Register for Electronic Filing with PACER (external). After submitting a registration request, users can review the status (pdf) of their pending registration.
Because it may take the Clerk’s Office up to one working day to process new registration requests, filers should register for filing access as soon as possible and not wait until the day of the filing deadline.
Although electronic filing is available only to case participants, other public users and members of the media can register for limited access to the court’s electronic case management system. Public Interested Person Access also allows public users, members of the media, and non-case participants to receive notification in cases of interest.
