Electronic Filing Support

Clerk’s Office staff are available to assist you and to answer your questions about the Electronic Filing Procedures (pdf) during our operating hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Eastern) at (202) 275-8000.

  • For assistance with account registration, password retrieval, contact information changes, and case searches, contact the PACER Service Center
    at 800-676-6856, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Central).  Please note that the Federal Circuit cannot assist with these items as they are part of the national PACER system and not the Federal Circuit’s local electronic filing system.
  • For technical assistance with filing a document with the Federal Circuit, please submit a support request.

Unable to Access CM/ECF?

Before contacting the Clerk’s Office, filers should review whether there is a current system outage or extended maintenance window.  Depending on the nature and anticipated length of an outage, the Clerk’s Office may extend electronic filing deadlines under Federal Circuit Rule 26(a)(4).

Filers experiencing individualized technical or system errors on their end outside of Clerk’s Office operating hours that should follow the requirements of Federal Circuit Rule 25(c)(1)(C) for filing a motion for leave to file out of time in lieu of contacting the Clerk’s Office emergency line.
