Federal Circuit Judges and Mediation Staff to Participate in the 23rd Annual Intellectual Property Law Conference on April 10-12, 2008

Judges and mediation staff of the court will participate in the ABA's Section of Intellectual Property 23rd Annual Conference set to take place from April 10 to 12, 2008 in Arlington, Virginia. On Thursday, April 10, 2008, Chief Judge Paul Michel will participate in a panel discussion titled "What Patent Reform Really Means for You" and Judge Pauline Newman will speak at a panel discussion titled "Are the Supreme Court and Federal Circuit on the Same Page for Patent Law?" The Chief Judge will also give the luncheon address on Thursday, April 10, 2008. He will discuss concerns from the bench on pending patent reform legislation. Also on Thursday, April 10, 2008, Judge Richard Linn will participate in a panel discussion titled "2021: A Patent Odyssey - Where Will Patent Reform Ultimately Take Us." Chief Judge Michel will also participate in the patent law panel of the session titled "Breaking News - Hot Topics in Copyright, Trademark and Patent Law" on Saturday, April 12, 2008. On Friday, April 11, 2008, Chief Circuit Mediator James Amend and Circuit Mediation Officer Wendy Dean will present a program on the court's mediation program.
