Announcements in 2019

Due to inclement weather, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will operate on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.  Unscheduled leave and telecommuting are authorized as approved by supervisors.  Chambers staff should follow the policy of their respective judges.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will be closed on Monday, January 14, 2019, due to the inclement weather. For purposes of computation of time and for motions to enlarge time under Fed. R. App. Proc. 26 and Fed. Cir. R. 26, January 14, 2019, will be considered a "legal holiday." Telework-ready employees should follow their office's policies.

This is a reminder that the new scheduling conflicts procedure takes effect today, January 2, 2019.  Updated versions of the Guide to Oral Argument and the Response to Notice to Advise of Scheduling Conflicts form are available on our website.  Counsel should begin using this new form when advising the court of scheduling conflicts.  For more information on the revised procedure, see our December 10, 2018 notice.
