Announcements in 2019

The Clerk's Office will resume normal operations and public services in the National Courts Building at 1:00 p.m. (EDT) today. Electronic filing remains available without interruption.  This message was updated at 11:50 a.m. on April 23, 2019.

As of 9:30 a.m. on April 23, 2019, the Clerk’s Office public phone and counter services are unavailable due to the temporary closure of the National Courts Building in Washington, D.C.   Electronic filing remains available.  We will provide an update as soon as service is restored.

Effective April 8, 2019, the court will begin notifying counsel which, if any, conflict dates are accepted as scheduling conflicts for oral argument.  The full notice is available online.

Due to renovations on the fourth floor, the Clerk’s Office will temporarily relocate to the Federal Circuit Library on the second floor beginning Tuesday, March 12, 2019.   All public services, including counsel argument check-in and public filings, will be available at the Federal Circuit Library reference desk as of that date.  Courtroom access and availability will remain unaffected, and all Clerk’s Office phone lines and email accounts will remain the same.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will open on time on Friday, March 1, 2019. Unscheduled leave and telecommuting are authorized as approved by supervisors. Chambers staff should follow the policy of their respective judges.
