Chief Judge Michel Will Retire on May 31, 2010
On Friday, November 20, 2009, Chief Judge Paul R. Michel submitted a letter to President Obama advising that he will step down as Chief Judge and retire from the judiciary effective May 31, 2010. The Chief Judge announced his plans at the Federal Circuit Bar Association Dinner held at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC that evening. The transcript of his remarks is available here .
