Chief Judge Paul R. Michel will speak on "Patentable Subject Matter Post-Bilski" at the George Mason University School of Law Eighth Annual Symposium on Hot Topics in Patent Law. Chief Judge Michel delivered the annual State of the Court Speech on Friday, June 19 at the 11th Annual Federal Circuit Bar Association Bench & Bar Conference. The speech addressed not only the current State of the Court, but also emerging needs of the Court and challenges to its future, including legislative proposals of concern, threats to expeditious dispositions, en banc rehearings, and potential vacancies.
