The Tech. Museum of Innovation in San Jose, California, Presented Chief Judge Michel with Award on November 5, 2008

On November 5, 2008, The Tech. Museum of Innovation in San Jose, California, presented its Inspirational Promoters Award to Chief Judge Michel for "Consistently championing American innovation and promoting the progress of science through the patent system as promised by the U.S. Constitution."

 

Federal Circuit Judges Will Sit in Silicon Valley and Speak at Bar and Law School Sponsored Programs on November 3-7, 2008

The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will hold hearings in several locations in Silicon Valley, California during the week of November 3, 2008. On November 4, 2008, the court will hear arguments at Santa Clara University School of Law and Stanford University School of Law. On November 5, 2008, the court will hear arguments at the United States District Court in San Jose. On November 6, 2008, the court will hear arguments at the United States District Court in San Francisco. Federal Circuit judges will speak at a program co-sponsored by the Federal Circuit Bar Association, the Santa Clara University School of Law, Stanford Law School and the University of California Berkeley School of Law. The program will take place at 2pm on November 5, 2008 at the Four Seasons Hotel in East Paolo Alto, California. Registration information is available at this link. Chief Judge Michel will speak at a program titled “The Perfect Storm of Patent Reform? New Direction in the Law of Science and the Useful Arts” at UC Davis School of Law on November 7, 2008.
